About Allied Mobile

Two trades. One team. A Lincolnton locksmith and mechanic shop built by a locksmith and a master mechanic who decided to work side by side.

From a college job to a calling

Allied Mobile started with a simple goal: I wanted to learn a trade that would help me pay for college.

When I first got into locksmithing, I never imagined it would become something I would build my life around. I started learning the craft under John Blackburn II at Mobile Locksmith in Gainesville, Florida, where I was introduced to the skill, precision, and problem-solving that go into being a locksmith.

What began as a way to support my education quickly became something more. I fell in love with the craft.

There was something incredibly rewarding about taking a problem that seemed impossible to someone else and finding a way to solve it. Whether it was helping someone regain access to their vehicle, making a key they thought was lost for good, or figuring out what was keeping a lock from working properly, I discovered that locksmithing was more than just cutting keys. It was about helping people when they needed it most.

Two trades that belong together

That passion eventually brought me to an opportunity to build something of my own alongside my father-in-law, Michael. Michael has spent more than 40 years as a master mechanic, and his experience, knowledge, and dedication have shaped the way he approaches his work.

As we spent more time working together, we noticed something that made a lot of sense: our customers didn't always have just one problem.

  • Sometimes a vehicle that wouldn't start didn't need a mechanical repair. It needed a key.
  • Sometimes a customer came in needing a key made, only to discover their vehicle had a separate mechanical issue that needed attention.
  • And sometimes the customer needed both.

Bringing locksmithing and mechanical services together lets us help people in a way a traditional locksmith or mechanic might not always be able to. That became the foundation of Allied Mobile.

Why Lincolnton

As we continued building the business, we met Bob and discovered Lincolnton, North Carolina. There was something about the area and the people that made it feel right. We saw a chance to bring our experience, our skills, and our work ethic to a community where we genuinely wanted to make a difference.

Lincolnton wasn't just somewhere we wanted to operate a business. It was somewhere we wanted to be part of the community.

How we work

Whatever the job, from lost car keys and lockouts to lock repairs, maintenance, and mechanical problems, our approach stays the same: take the time to understand the problem, do the work properly, and treat people with honesty and respect.

What started as a way to pay for college became a craft I fell in love with. What began as an opportunity to work alongside my father-in-law became a business built around two trades that complement each other. And what started as a search for the right place to grow became a chance to put down roots in Lincolnton.

Reviews

We're building our reviews on Google. If we've opened a car, cut a key, or rekeyed a lock for you, a short review helps your neighbors find a local, licensed locksmith.
